There have been some questions asked in regards to the trip, because of recent events, but the year 10 trip to London Galleries will go ahead on Tuesday 20th June. It is advised that pupils bring lunch and plenty of water, as well as comfortable shoes and attire as we will walking through-out the day (no public transport will be used). Can I remind you that if pupils bring money or mobile phones, do so at their own risk and they should be careful to keep these safe!
Students are advised to arrive promptly at 7:45-7:50am in order for the coach to depart Southam College at 8am.
Students will arrive approx. at London’s Tate Modern at 10:30am.
They will then leave at approx. 12:00pm and head to the national Gallery in Trafalgar Square.
Student will leave at apporx 1:45pm and head to Leicester Square for Lunch
They will then leave at approx. 3:20pm and head to the Tate Britain.
We then finally aim to leave the Tate Britain at 5:30pm aiming to be back at Southam College approx. 8:00pm
There will be social media updates through the day.
Mr L Phillips
A big thank you to the amazing sports leaders in year 9 & 10 who helped at the primary school athletics on Tuesday night. We could not have organised the event without you!! There were some fantastic comments from parents and teachers who were really impressed with your mature and professional approach. We were so proud to see you leading warm-up’s, helping with the events and supporting the primary school children.
A big thank you to everyone from the PE department.
Year 11 GCSE History students: just a note to say that we know you have worked so hard, and that we are really pleased with your positive attitude and effort across the exam season so far. Remember that the Southam College History Department YouTube channel can help you if you are feeling unsure of exam technique and timings ahead of the final History exam next week. You are welcome to come and see us if you have any questions and we will happily mark any example questions you complete. Happy History revision!
Group 3 got to the top of Snowdon today! They worked well as a team and didn’t let the misty wet weather dampen their spirits! Have all eaten their own body weight in food and are now very sleepy! Looking forward to tomorrow.
