Southam Girls finish 2nd and 3rd in the emerging schools tournament.
The Southam A team started the evening off with a convincing 14-0 win over Aylesford due to some amazing shooting from Eve Murphy and Jess Frogley. They continued their winning ways beating both NLS and Southam B with some brilliant defensive work from Sophie Kirk, Rosie Hill and Caitlin Thomas, however the girls had to admit defeat to a strong Myton side. The loss to Myton meant that the girls finished in a convincing 2nd place.
The Southam B team had a mixed set of results, beating Aylesford but losing to both Southam A and Myton. Some excellent play in the centre court from Sophia Lyndsay and Maisie Powell and in both the defensive and shoot circles by Katie Cummings(Year 9 playing up and age group) and Ellie Merrell. The girls managed to pull together and finish in 3rd place which was excellent considering a lot of the girls had to play out of position at some point during the evening and in different combinations.
