After a night of beach rounders and football we headed out for our 3rd day in SUNNY spain! Weather update…we hit 30 degrees today and clear blue skies!
So it was on the coach for a trip into barcelona. Firstly we visited la sagrada familia one of spains most famous landmarks before heading into the centre itself. Once there we ate our packed lunch at the top of las ramblas before venturing into the food market! All of us were massively impressed with the amount of spanish our students were using but in particular we would like to mention the fantastic effort from michael O’Rourke who has constantly been ordering in spanish and making a great effort to use his language even if he is eating a mountain of peaches!!
we then walked down las ramblas and into the port area where students had some time to explore before walking through the gothic quarter to meet the coach. After dinner it was back to the beach for round 2 of the johnson versus warman rounders grudge match but even our secret weapon of mrs rhodes could not bring us victory! Port aventura tomorrow so now off to bed….
